Privacy Policy

Ruly is a software platform that permits customers to build software applications without using traditional software code. Ruly also hosts the applications that our customers build, and in most, but not necessarily all cases hosts the data stored by those applications.

This policy document describes how Ruly manages the personal information that it collects as part of doing business with prospects, customers, and the end-users that use the applications built on our platform.

Ruly may have your personal information if you fall into any of these groups:

  • a prospect: a prospective or trial customer of Ruly
  • customer:  a paying subscriber of Ruly’s platform
  • an end-user: an employee of a company, or member of an organization that is a customer of Ruly, and you use an application built on the Ruly platform
  • a data subject: an individual whose personal information is stored by a Ruly Customer

Ways in which we collect your personal information

As a Data Controller we may collect information on you in the following ways:

  • When you visit our website
  • When you create an account with us by subscribing to our services
  • When you pay for services
  • When you contact us for technical support
  • When you communicate with us through email or other means
 
Ruly acts as a Data Processor when one of our customers develops an application on our platform, and that customer collects information on you, or you enter personal information into that application.

What information we collect

If you are a prospect then we will collect information in order to connect with you such as your name, email address, and phone number. We may also collect data on your job position and responsibilities, and why you are interested in building no-code applications, and the types of business problems you would like to solve.

If you are a customer, then in addition to the information that we would collect for a prospect, we will also collect information on your company, as well as information on how to bill you for our services. In some cases, if a personal payment method is used, then we or our billing processors, would have personal information on that billing method such as name, credit card number, and billing and delivery address. 

If you are an end-user then the Ruly platform collects information as you use the platform. We record the pages you visit and when you have visited them.

If you are a data subject then our customers may collect information on you, however, Ruly has no insight into what information our customers collect.

How we use the information we collect

In general, we will only use the personal information that you have provided us for the purpose for which it was intended. We may however use personal information or more commonly anonymized information on how our platform is being used to help improve our products and services.

If you are a prospect or customer then we may use your personal information to contact you to sell products and services.

If you are an end-user then we will only use your personal information if you contact us directly such as for technical support.

If you are a data subject, then we will in no case use your personal information.

How we share information

Ruly does not share prospect, customer, end-user, or data subject personal information with any third party unless explicitly directed to do so by the data controller. Ruly’s Terms of Service dictate that the data controller (the customer) is the owner of any data entered into the Ruly platform.

Your rights

You have rights, depending on the jurisdiction you live in, on how your personal information is collected, managed, stored, and shared. 

If you are a prospect or customer of Ruly, and you have any questions about your personal information, concerns about how your personal information is being managed, or would like to have your personal information or data removed from our records, then please contact privacy@rulyapp.com.

If you are a data subject and your personal information has been collected by a Ruly customer, then you must contact that customer to correct or remove your personal information, or to voice any other concerns you have about how your personal information is being used. 

Ruly does not have rights to the data stored by our customers. However, we do have the right to terminate the subscriptions, and return data to customers who have knowingly violated individual privacy rights and have not taken steps to correct these issues.
