Auto-fill PDF Forms

Automatically fill Acrobat PDF forms with a push of a button from your Ruly app using nocode.

Ruly’s new PDF Form feature will auto-fill forms with a simple push of a button. This is ideal when you want to replicate the look of a classic printed form; or create that perfectly formatted report.

The feature works with existing fillable PDF forms. No changes are needed to the form to enable it to work with Ruly. An empty PDF form is loaded into Ruly once. Ruly reads the entire form as well as the input fields and checkboxes that are defined on the form.

It transforms data from applications built on Ruly and then populates PDF forms with this data.

A mapping tool is provided where data fields are mapped to their corresponding positions on the PDF form.  Ruly reads the PDF form and provides a picklist of fields to choose from. This process only needs to be done once for the form. Once the form is mapped, then there is no limit to the number of filled-in forms that may be completed.

Calculations can be easily configured in cases where more than a simple mapping of field-to-form is required.

Note that it is not necessary to have a full version of Acrobat unless you are creating a new form from scratch.

A button can be used to generate the PDF form from an application.

The filled-in form can also (optionally) be automatically saved in the database so that a record is kept of the form each time it is completed.

It can also be sent automatically as an email attachment using a Rule.

In any situation where pixel-perfect output is required, Ruly in combination with Acrobat is the answer.
