Ruly lets you take simple text columns from an External Database and supports converting them into advanced field types. By defining text fields with specific lengths in an external database, Ruly automatically detects which enhanced field types can be used.
Long text fields can be transformed into signatures, thumbnails, drawings, avatars, or rich text fields with just a click.
Short text fields can become email, phone, URL, password, multi-select, color, coordinates or icon fields.
Once converted, these fields behave exactly like native Ruly fields. This feature helps streamline workflows without changing anything in the external database structure.
