Export an entire application with all of its objects, data tables, and views into a single JSON file that can then be easily exchanged with other Ruly users. It can also be used to keep a record of an application in its current state in case it needs to be restored later.
Applications in Ruly are self-contained and have all of the components necessary to allow them to function in a different environment. The only things that are not migrated over are users and security. Everything else necessary for the application to run properly, will be available once the app file has been imported including:
Exporting is easy. From the App details screen select Export App from the menu and save the exported file.
Application objects each get their own unique ID when they are first created. When they are imported into a different environment, there is then no concern about creating duplicate objects.
It also means that an application can be imported more than once to update functionality. Existing objects with the same ID will be updated with newer versions from the import file.
There are many benefits that this feature provides
The same process is used to import the application into a new environment. The completed application once imported into a new environment is fully functional and ready to use.
